Guariba Mata Viva

Voluntary conservation nucleus in southeastern Amazonas (municipalities of Apuí and Novo Aripuanã). 75,013.84 ha of dense submontane ombrophilous forest with emergent canopy. HVC 1 and HVC 2 assessed. Impact: 4 trillion litres hydrological flow (≈ 1 million people / month water supply), 24 million m³ stored timber, 750 km² protected — equivalent to New York City.
