Xingú Mata Viva

Multi-municipality nucleus along the Xingu river basin in north-northeast Mato Grosso (Barra do Garças, Luciara, Marcelândia, Santa Cruz do Xingu, São José do Xingu, São Félix do Araguaia, Vila Rica). 194,201.22 ha total · 121,835.96 ha preserved across both Amazon and Cerrado biomes. HVC 1 (high probability) and HVC 2 (intact forest landscape) assessed. Impact: 3.4 billion litres hydrological flow, 19 million m³ stored timber, 1,218 km² protected. Audited by TÜV Rheinland.
