Atlantic Forest remnant in the municipality of Maricá (Rio de Janeiro). 534.32 ha total · 348.98 ha preserved. Dense submontane ombrophilous forest on red-yellow latosol. HVC 1 and HVC 2 assessed. Impact: 19 million litres hydrological flow, 105 thousand m³ stored timber, 3.4 km² protected. Audited by SGS. The Atlantic Forest is one of the most carbon-dense — and most threatened — biomes globally.
